A student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Unizik, who is a 300-level student of History and International Studies, and said to be the daughter of a female lecturer in the Engineering department at the same institution was captured fighting a lecturer of the university in a trending video on social media since Tuesday.
According to the story, the student went physical with the lecturer after he interrupted a video she was recording while dancing in the corridor of her department.
The lecturer who needed to walk pass was said to have tapped her on the shoulder to make way for him to pass.
The video showed the girl eyeing the lecturer, identified as Dr. Chukwudi Michael Okoye from the Faculty of Arts, before saying, “Can you imagine? He just hit me.”
Another video showed the girl getting physical with the lecturer by grabbing him, while he lifted his hands up to show he was not touching her in any way, while other students gathered and tried to intervene.
A statement alleged to be from the lecturer narrating what transpired has been widely shared on WhatsApp groups in the school.
In the whatsapp statement said to be from the lecturer, it stated that the lecturer heard the girl insult him after he passed, so he went back to see if she was one of his students.
Then he allegedly reached for her phone,causing a reaction from the student who resorted to biting him on both arms.
Photos shared showed the bite marks on the lecturer’s arm.
