Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, aka Sam Larry, who was declared wanted by the Lagos State Police, following allegations made against him in connection to the tragic death of Nigerian artist,Ilerioluwa Aloba ,better known as Mohbad, has returned to the country, and has been confirmed to be in the custody of the police.
According to sources,Sam Larry is being probed over the death of Mohbad,as the Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, wrote on X that, “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody and assisting with an ongoing investigation.”
Also planning a return to the country is Marlian Record label boss, Naira Marley, who,in an interview recently claimed he is making arrangements to return to Nigeria to honour police invitation, following the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death.
The two men were alleged to have contributed to the tragic death of
Mohbad,who died on September 12, 2023.
Some of the reasons why many fans of the late singer are pointing accusing fingers at Sam Larry was due to a video that went viral after the singer’s death, where Sam Larry was captured when he stormed the set of Mohbad’s music shoot accompanied by some armed men to threaten Mohbad.
Sam Larry was spotted at the arrival wing of the international airport in Lagos, disguised with a cloth covering his face in the company of men suspected to be from the Lagos Police command who took him into their custody.
