Passengers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, were in a pandemonium state when fire erupted in the building causing passengers and airline operators to run out of the airport.
Report has it that incident happened around the at 7.50AM on Wednesday, as smoke was discovered to be emanating from the basement of the Terminal building of Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, located in Ikeja, Lagos.
The FAAN, Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua said the firefighters from the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS) of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport immediatey went into action to control the situation from escalating.
“Their swift response and professional efforts have successfully brought the situation under control”,he explained.
