On Wednesday September 6,day the tribunal decided on to deliver their judgement on the presidential election petition, the former Vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abubakar Atiku and his counterpart in the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi were conspicuously absent
Apart from Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, no notable politician from the PDP turned up in court.
The Labour Party was, however, represented by Julius Abure, the national chairman of the party.
Mr. Paul Ibe, Atiku’s Media Director, did not respond to phone calls put across to him to explain the absence of the PDP presidential candidate.
Members if the Tribunal led by Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani arrived in court to deliver judgment on the three petitions, with the judge ordering that judgment in the petition of Mr Peter Obi and Labour Party be the first to be delivered.
