Legendary Nollywood actor, Dejumo Lewis, has died.
The news of his death was confirmed by actor, Saidi Balogun, on his Instagram account on Saturday, where he shared the photo of the late actor, with the message, “Good night, DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.”
Since the sad news broke of Lewis passing,his fans and fellow actors and actresses,have reacted with condolence messages expressing their shock at his death.
No news giving the cause of Lewis’ death is yet to be made public by his family.
The late actor gained major popularity from back in the 70s for his unforgettable role as Kabiyesi in popular “The Village Headmaster”,one of Nigeria’s most watched television soap opera aired on NTA from 1968 to 1988, alongside Justus Esiri, Femi Robinson, and numerous others.
Other films he featured in are, “A Place in the Stars” (2014), “Crossroads” (2020), and “Power of 1” (2018).
His death has left many speechless within Nollywood, both the English and Yoruba genres.
