Late Herbert Wigwe’s Daughter Sued By Her Grandfather

By Glam & Essence

The 90-year-old father of late Dr. Herbert Wigwe, former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, who died in a tragic helicopter crash along with his wife, son and some friends of his in the USA, a year ago, is in a dispute with his son’s daughter ,Otutochi Channel Wigwe,(who is his granddaughter),over his late son’s estate.
The late Herbert’s father, siblings, and cousins are said to be in an intense conflict with his children that he left behind over their rights to their late father’s inheritance, despite the Will he had put in place.
The news broke last year October, when several media outlets reported that 90-year-old Pastor Shyngle Wigwe and his family were attempting to alter the Will of the late banker.
A legal suit filed by Christian Chukwuka Wigwe, who claims to be a cousin acting on behalf of Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, was contesting the Will’s validity.
The news of the suit went viral, causing reactions from Nigerians who slammed them for their actions of challenging Herbert’s Will, which favour his children.
As a result of the outcry, the family initially denied these allegations with a public retraction that states; “we have withdrawn the suit. Our concern was the welfare of the children.”
However, recent court documents revealed that the family had not withdrawn the case as claimed, and it was discovered that late Herbert Wigwe’s daughter, Otutochi Channel Wigwe, was named in the lawsuit, alongside Uche Wigwe and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede.
Attached is the image of names of those jointly sued in the filed suit.
