A High Court in Maitama in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),has granted bail to Godwin Emefiele,former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
In a ruling reached on Wednesday by Justice Hamza Muazu asked the Emefiele should produce two sureties, who must have landed property in the Maitama District of the FCT,while the bail bond was set at N300 million.
Two weeks back,another FCT High Court had ordered his release in a fundamental human rights suit he instituted against the federal government.
Emefiele was absent in court during today’s proceedings,as he is presently remanded at Kuje Prison.
The court adjourned till November 28 for the commencement of trial.
