Popular Nigerian singer, Oyindamola Emmanuel, popularly known as Dammy Krane has regained his freedom from police custody.
He was released on Thursday August 29 ,2024, six days after being arrested and detained by Davido over alleged defamation.
His detention was made known by social media critic ,Very Dark Man,who went on his TikTok platform to reveal that Dammy Krane was in detention, following his arrest,after Davido filed a complaint against him.
Davido,it was gathered had given Dammy Krane 24 hours ultimatum to retract all offensive publications against him on his social media handles.
According to Davido’s lawyer, Chikaosolu Ojukwu, SAN, Dammy was warned that failure to comply with the demands within the stipulated time frame will compel Davido to pursue all available legal remedies.
Davido also asked Dammy Krane to stop posting defamatory statements against him on any platform in the letter his lawyer served Dammy.
The letter was served on Dammy following his recent posts on his X handle,where he impugned the forthcoming wedding of Davido to Chioma Rowland.
In the post, Dammy insinuated that the only reason Davido planned the marriage with Chioma is because she caught him cheating.
His arrest came a few days after the series of posts on his X handle went viral.
Dammy posted said he had been illegally arrested by police on Davido’s instructions.
Surprisingly,not many knew of his arrest until Very Darl Man revealed it on his social media handles.
A few days ago,Verydarkman,who revealed Dammy’s detention also revealed Dammy’s release from prison with a video showing Dammy Kramer as a free man.
In the video,Dammy apologised to Davido for the allegations he had made against him,while thanking God for giving him a second chance to focus on his music again .
