Annie Macaulay, the estranged wife of Nigerian music star, Innocent Idibia, better known as Tuface has officially confirmed her breakup of her marriage with the singer.
She made this public during the 17th edition of the Headies Awards themed ‘Back to Base’, that held on Sunday, April 28,2025,in Lagos.
Annie, who attended the event was invited to present the award for Best Afrobeats Singer, alongside Farooq Oreagba, who has been crowned “King of Steeze” from the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival, and when she got on stage,she introduced herself as Annie Macaulay, her maiden name.
While it looked like she was about to introduce herself using her marital surname, ‘Idibia,’she however quickly corrected herself, choosing instead to embrace her maiden name and single status.
Hear her, “My name is Annie Idi—oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!” ,as she attracted loud cheers from the audience at the Landmark Event Centre, Lekki.
Her announcement of her single status follows months of speculation about the state of her marriage to Tuface, who had announced their separation in an Instagram video post in January of 2025.
This major first outing for Annie after her divorce saw her stepping out in style,stunning in a lime green long jacket embellished with crystal tassels worn on an Ankara tube top and palazzo trouser,making her one of the top dressers at the Headies.
