The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission may be seeking a remand order to extend the stay in custody of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, after he spent his second night in their custody.
The commission chose that route to enable them get answers to questions posed to him by investigators handling his matter, while his lawyer, A.U Mustapha (SAN),has been pushing for his release on bail.
El-Rufai, who arrived at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja on Monday for questioning in connection with an alleged N432bn corruption probe was later detained at the commission for questioning by investigators, who grilled him over the corruption allegations leveled against him.
