Veteran Nollywood actress ,Ngozi Nwosu, recently opened up about the period she battled kidney problem.
According to her, help came through the Lagos State government led by former Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN),who came to her rescue at the time.
She made this revelation during an interview with fellow actress, Ayo Adesanya on Ayo Adesanya TV.
Nwosu said it was the swift action of some compassionate individuals as well as divine intervention that saved her from what could have been led to her demise.
Nwosu revealed that through a woman named Funke, she was connected to the former Lagos State Governor, who provided her financial and medical support that gave her access to the care she desperately needed when her condition got worse.
“During the kidney issue, actually it was Lagos State that stood there for me,” she stated.
Nwosu said that Governor Fashola’s intervention went beyond financial assistance. The Lagos State Government ensured that she received the best possible medical care both locally and abroad.
She expressed her shock by his action to help her, especially since she had never met him before at the time.
“I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to Funke who facilitated my seeing the governor, SAN Fashola. They were the ones who came to my rescue immediately before the Igbos even tried. Thank you to Pius Anyim Pius who was at the Senate then,” says Nwosu.
