Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota, has died in a car accident in Spain.
The news of the death of the 28-year-old,who was travelling in the vehicle with his brother, Andre, was made known by the Daily Mail .
According their report, that the car went off the road on the A-52 in the province of Zamora, leading the death of Diogo.
His tragic passing happened only two weeks after he married his long-time girlfriend, Rute Cardoso, in Porto.
The Police have confirmed that they are investigating the cause of the incident. According to them, there were no other vehicles involved.
Since joining Liverpool from Wolves in 2020,Jota made 182 appearances for Liverpool.
He was part of the Liverpool squad that won the Premier League title in May during Arne Slot’s first season
He lifted the Premier League title in May, having previously won the FA Cup and two Carabao Cups in his five years at the club.
Jota also won 49 international caps for Portugal, during which he won the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and again last month, scoring 14 goals.
