Opposition Coalition Adopts ADC As 2027 Platform

In a major move to take on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027, Coalition members have officially adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their official political platform for the 2027 elections on Monday,1st of July,2025.
Former Senate President, David Mark was named the coalition’s national chairman upon the adoption of ADC.
Also named as the National Secretary of the party is ex-Osun State Governor and Interior Minister ,Rauf Aregbesola. The former Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi was named the party’s spokesperson.


The PDP leaders who attended the meeting, included former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Governor of Jigawa State Sule Lamido, former Foreign Affairs Minister Tom Ikimi, former Nigerian Ambassador to China Aminu Wali, and former PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus, all of who urged for a reconsideration of the current political climate, while calling for change in the face of the non performance of the current administration.
They argued that Nigeria and Nigerians had been let down by both the ruling APC and the opposition PDP,where many of them migrated from.
Some PDP leaders who attended the coalition meeting are urging other party members to join the alliance in advance of the 2027 election,in a bid to take power away from the ruling party, APC.
